In addition to enjoying knitting, I am very fortunate that Little One loves to read. She and I both get pretty excited when we find new books that include a little knitting or any fibre themes. I think they help keep her excited about reading and knitting. Here are some of our favorites.
Woolbur – This book is amazing! It is about a little sheep who stands out from the flock. It is great for parents and kids who might just be a little different.
Knit Together – A super sweet book about a girl and her mom working on a knitting project together.
Extra Yarn – This is another absolute favorite of mine, for too many reasons to even go into.
Little Owl’s Orange Scarf – I always think of this book when planning projects for Little One. I almost always let her pick her own yarn.
Shall I Knit You a Hat – A wonderful one particularly during the holidays.
The Hueys in the New Sweater – Another book that reminds us that it’s okay to be different. It might even start a trend!
There is, of course, The Mitten too.
