Lunch & Yarn

I was down in Kent, WA with a client of mine (whose mom happens to be a knitter), and her mom suggested a spot that had a cafe and yarn. Food and yarn! Seriously, what could be better?!

It’s called Makers Mercantile. Inside is a lovely selection of yarn and a gluten free cafe/bakery. The store is very spacious and well laid out. There is a great sitting room where you can eat or hang out and knit. The yarn selection is wonderful. It is not your average selection of yarns – there were many things I hadn’t seen before. The staff is also very helpful and nice. I bought a project bag and two balls of Kenzie by Hikoo (out of New Zeland). They also printed out a free pattern for me. It was not what I was expecting for the area, so a nice surprise. I would definitely make a trip back!
